Atlas C100 Creaser[/caption]
The Atlas line is the ideal solution for creating, clean, crisp, professional looking digitally printed materials. This is because creasing your toner-based papers are the only way to avoid cracking of ink on the folded edge of your document. Scoring machines use a circular blade to cut through the top fibers of your material. The end result is a cracked, broken appearance on your folded paper. The Formax creasers work differently. They operate by using a heavy-duty creasing matrix to compress and emboss the paper fibers instead of creating a cut into them. The creasing matrix uses an anvil and channel to crease. The creasing angle and pressure can be adjusted to accommodate different paper weights to provide the most accurate crease possible. This eliminates the cracking and tearing of the toner on the paper that you see with scoring. Standard, Narrow, and Ultra Narrow crease matrices are available for the different creaser models.

Operation and setup of these machines are simple. All you have to do is set up the infeed table, adjust the guides to fit your size paper, and select the crease that you would like the machine to perform. The creaser then automatically calculates the crease positions based on paper size and sets them accordingly. The machine operates by using a bottom-suction air-feed system to allow continuous loading of sheets, which increases productivity by permitting a greater number of sheets to be loaded, even with heavier stocks. The feed gap can be adjusted easily by turning the gate disk left or right to accommodate the paper thickness.

The creasers feature a full-color touchscreen control panel which allows for quick and easy setup when programming creasing jobs. When creasing, all you have to do is enter the size of your paper and the number of creases. You can also program an unlimited number of test jobs, and stores them alphabetically, so you can be sure that you always get the crease that you need.
The C100 and C200 each come with the same specifications. The only difference between these two models is the width of the paper that the machine will accommodate. The C100 can handle paper up to size 27.5” x 12.9”. The C200 can handle paper up to size 27.5” x 19.6”. Other options for the C100 include slitting wheels so you can create perforations. The C200 comes with this choice as well as an optional extension for sheets up to 35.4” x 19.6”. These two models can also process an astounding 16 creases per sheet.
The C100’s dimensions are a solid 57” L x 20.5” W x 48” H and 267 lbs. The C200 measures in at 59” L x 26.8” W x 48” H while weighing 344 lbs. These two machines are sturdy and compact enough to fit in the corner of your office without any disruption.
