The MBM 93M paper folder, an old friend of ours that has been out of stock since April, is back in stock and will not be going out of stock in the near future. Now what kind of machine can be considered a “friend” to a person? It doesn’t have to be the most spectacular machine the world has ever witnessed, but it does have to function reliably, and occasionally help you out in a pinch.
The MBM 93M is a compact desktop paper folder, weighing 46 lbs, and can handle up to 150 sheets of paper at a time, with a maximum accepted paper weight of 31 lbs. bond (16 to 80 lbs. offset). Folding speed is a nifty 120 sheets/min, and accepted sheet sizes range from 4” x 5” to 8.5” x 14”.
Efforts to streamline the set-up and operation of this paper folder have yielded such features as a motorized exit conveyor, pre-programmed folds (half-fold, tri-fold, z-fold, and double parallel fold), and color-coded fold plate icons to guide manual adjustment of the fold plates. If the fold plates are not properly in place, the paper folder will not operate. And when the paper folder does its job, it leaves on the tray a beautifully-staggered stack of folded papers, facing the same side from which you initially stood to insert the paper.
While the MBM 93M is not designed to handle massive amounts of paper in a nightmare hyper-work environment, it is the perfect machine to turn to when you are looking to fold a couple hundred papers for an event or a cumbersome mailing. Its foldable feed table and tray, combined with its already-modest size, allow for it to fit into any nook with ease, making it a perfect addition to any school, office, or church. With its fairly flexible operation options, its office-friendly size, and its none-too-modest folding speed, the MBM 93M Paper Folder can most definitely be considered a “friend,” and its comeback will be appreciated by all who turn to it in their moments of paper-folding need.
