Akiles DuoMac 421 / 431 Coil and Wire Binding Machines

The DuoMac series by Akiles takes binding to another level. These 2-in-1 machines bring together 2 different binding styles in one convenient machine, saving your office time, money and even space. The DuoMac 431 combines coil (4:1 pitch) with 3:1 pitch wire or there's the DuoMac 421 which combines coil (4:1 pitch) with 2:1 pitch wire. Why limit your business to just one type of binding style? The DuoMac 431 and 421 give you the freedom and flexibility to create books, catalogs, calendars, reports with 2 different wire binding styles.

Both machines feature sturdy, all metal construction and 2 separate and independent punching die sets that can accommodate up to 20 sheets per punch. The open throat design can take most any size document and with disengageable pins, side and depth margin controls you can be sure of a perfectly centered punch while avoiding side / end partial punches.

Creating wire or coil bound documents is fast and easy with the DuoMac. For wire bound documents start by measuring your document on the built in paper scale to determine the correct wire size. Place the chosen wire on the convenient wire holder and begin punching and inserting your documents. When finished, adjust the wire closer to the correct size and insert your document into the closer with the open end of the wire face down. Pull the handle to close the wire and you're done. For coil bound documents simply punch your sheets then manually insert your coil. (For faster coil insertion, you may want to consider the Akiles Roll@Coil). After the coil is inserted, use the coil crimp tool, included with the DuoMac to crimp the ends of the coil.
