The Ameri-Shred AMS line of heavy duty strip cut office shredders offers a range of power and capability. While these four models look identical, each has varying levels of shredding capacity, speed, and drive. Each shredder in this line can tackle not only paper, but also staples, paper clips, floppy disks, credit cards, even washers without damaging the cutters. The AMS-75 features a 3/4 HP drive, which powers through up to 40 feet per minute (20 feet for 1/8" .) Shredding up to 35 sheets per pass, the AMS-75 will produce 5/16" strips. This model will also shred 18 sheets at a time into smaller 1/8" strips. These strips fall directly into the ample 40 gallon shredder bag. When the machine is overloaded, the AMS-75 will automatically switch into reverse until the problem is repaired.
