The Destroyit 3804 Cross-Cut Shredder by MBM is an impressive machine with the capacity to shred not only documents but the paper clips and staples that often accompany them. The Destroyit 3804 is built to last with its single phase motor that is rated for continuous operation. This motor is extremely quiet, so you never have to worry about disturbance in the office. The "Easy Switch" control element activates the shredder and uses back-lit symbols to indicate the shredder's status. Capable of shredding up to 24-26 sheets at once and up to 20 feet per minute, this cross cut model transforms your documents into tiny 3/16 x 1 ½ inch particles. The 16" wide feed opening can also accept CDs and credit cards, making the Destroyit 3804 an efficient multifunctional machine. Photo cells located in the feed opening sense paper and automatically start the shredder. When the sensors no longer detect paper, shredder power is shut off.

For safe operation, the MBM Destroyit 3804 comes standard with the "SPS" (Safety Protection System) package. The most vital feature offered in this safety package is the clear safety guard, which covers the feed opening to prevent harmful shredding. This safety shield is electronically controlled: if the shield is not fully closed, the shredder will not be able to start. The "Easy Switch" is considered a great safety feature, as it displays when the cabinet door is ajar, when the safety shield is not properly shut, and when the shred bin is full. In addition to these impressive safety features, overheating will not be a problem as the machine is designed with double protection against it. The "ESM" (Energy Saving Mode) saves electricity and your money by cutting off shredder power after one hour of inactivity.
