Q: What is the 73Ci shredder made of? My last one was cheap plastic and fell apart after several years.
A: Unfortunately in this price range you will simply not find a shredder made of solid metal. That doesn't start until approximately $1,000 and up. However all Fellowes shredders come equipped with a fantastic two year manufacturer warranty which they are great about honoring. Just make sure you use the shredder in the environment it was made for. The Fellowes 73ci is a great shredder for home or very small office use. But if you start trying to use this in a normal office environment or for big purges at home it just isn't made for that.
