Description of the Formax FD 8502 Cross Cut Paper Shredder

The Formax FD 8502 Cross Cut shredder is the perfect combination of powerful performance, solid, reliable components and user friendly controls all in a portable office shredder. It can easily handle up to 25 sheets at once, along with staples, paper clips and credit cards in its extra wide 16" feed opening. Inside the all metal cabinet you'll find a sturdy AC geared motor with steel gears and specially ground, heat treated steel cutters that are built for long life with minimal maintenance. Even the 26 gallon waste bin comes with a lifetime guarantee. Built in casters make it completely portable.

Just as impressive as the sturdy motor and cutters are the easy to use controls and built in features that keep this shredder running smoothly and safely. The Auto Stop/ Start means operation starts as soon as paper is detected. The Auto Reverse and the Auto Cleaning both work to clear and prevent paper jams.The Auto Sensor and the Door Safety Sensor automatically stop the motor if the door is open or the waste bin is full. The built in Oil Indicator LED flashes after every 4 hours of use to remind the user it may be time to oil the cutting blades. If service is needed, the Self Diagnosis System provides the technician with valuable information based on the history of use. The easy to read LED control panel gives you complete control of all of these functions.
