Description of the Formax Atlas-AS

The Formax Atlas-AS is designed for high volume output without needing maximum space. This sturdy folder can process up to 27,500 sheets in an hour. Like many folders, the Atlas-AS has 6 standard pre-programmed fold settings, but unlike many folders the Atlas-AS has the ability to store unlimited custom fold settings. The easy to use 7' color touchscreen makes programming fast and simple. The enclosed fold plates have dial controls with LED readouts that are accurate within 0.1mm. Fold rollers are made of a sturdy, composite material that can grip even high gloss stock.

The Atlas-AS will handle up to 500 sheets at one time, it accepts coated and non-coated stock up to 25.6" inches in length. The air-feed suction table aligns and squares the sheets before feeding and the air suction chamber controls curled paper and static. For even more convenience, the outfeed stacker is on the same side as the infeed table so the user can load and unload from the same position. Another standard feature is plug in scorer / perforator which also serves as a roller bypass for cover stock to be folded and output flat. Additional features like anti-static brushes, skew and micro adjustments, and double document detection make the Formax Atlas-AS a fast, accurate folder that can take on big jobs but leave a small footprint.
