Description of the HSM Pure 740 Cross Cut Shredder
Reliable, large scale shredder, the Pure 740 cross-cut model is ideal for large workshops intended for 6-11 users. Made in Germany, using high quality materials for security and durability, this model is fully capable of shredding documents 25-27 sheets per run in regardless of staples, paper clips, or windowed envelopes at a rate of 17 ft/min. Made with hardened steel, the cutting rollers will slice through those documents and the resulting shred size will be 3/16" x 11/8" satisfying up to security level DIN 3. The power motor allows for continuous operation as long as the 115 V plug is connected to any standard wall outlet. Despite its powerful performance, this model has low power consumption while in standby mode and is quiet as a whisper as to minimize noise development in the workplace.
At 119 lbs with dimensions of 35" x 24.4" x 19", this machine is still easily mobile due to the sturdy castors at the bottom. Another convenient feature is the light indicator if the 38.3 gallon shred-bin is full so there's no need to physically check. Getting rid of the waste is effortless because the shred-bin is removable.

HSM Pure (Models 420, 530, 630, 740, 830, 940) – Office/Large Office/Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to two (2) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
