Description of HSM Securio B34 1/4" Strip Cut Shredder
For level 2/P-2 security and mid volume destruction, the HSM Securio B34 strip cut shredder will meet and exceed expectations. This German-made, quality engineered shredder features JamStop, EMCS, and Whisper Shred technology. When a jam is detected, JamStop Anti-Jam works in reverse mode to quickly repair overloaded paper and restore smooth operation. The Energy Management Control System (EMCS) significantly cuts down power consumption while the unit is in stand-by mode. Finally, Whisper Shred ensures low noise operation even during the most strenuous loads. These features make this unit more than just your average office shredder.
Now that we've looked at the features, how are the capabilities of this paper shredder? Destroying up to 37 sheets per pass, the HSM Securio B34 turns your documents into 1/4" strips of paper, 38 strips per each page destroyed. While this alone is impressive, this Securio offers a bit more flexibility than simply paper materials. The 100% solid steel cutting cylinder is strong enough to tear through staples, paper clips, credit cards, and even CDs/DVDs. These materials can be fed through the same opening as paper without the worry of damaging the cutting head.
A multifunctional operation button enables intuitive use of the machine. This operating and display unit features backlit icons that illuminate if the shred bag is full, cabinet door is open, or a paper jam has occurred. The shred bag, which rests on a pull-out frame, holds up to 26.4 gallons. This shred bag is reusable and allows for quick and easy waste disposal. For user safety, a folding element covers the feed opening, protecting the operator and preventing unintentional intake.
A step-up from the small office shredder, the HSM Securio B34 1/4" business shredder weighs 72 lbs. Mounted on durable casters, the Securio B34 is relatively simple to relocate throughout the department. With dimensions of 17.3" D x 21.3" W x 33.3" H, the HSM Securio B34 level 2/P-2 shredder can fit in any copy room or mail center.

HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
