Description of HSM Securio C16 Cross Cut Shredder
Designed for home or personal office use, the HSM Securio C16 accommodates between 1-3 users. Home or personal offices expect disturbance free operation: noisy shredding sounds are not tolerated. Thanks to "Whisper Shred" technology, the HSM C16 emits low noise level (55-58 dB) during operation. Say goodbye to power hungry paper shredders. The HSM C16 features Zero Energy Standby (ZES), which cuts down power consumption instantly while the machine is in standby mode.
The low volume Securio C16 accepts between 5-7 sheets at a time and offers a throat width of near 9". This shredder produces 5/32" x 1" level 3/P-4 particles, specifically 603 cross-cut/confetti cut particles per page. The German made, solid steel cutting cylinder is made from 100% solid steel for high cutting capacities. This cutting head is guaranteed to destroy through paper, staples, paper clips, and credit cards without fail. HSM is so confident in their hardened steel cutting shafts, that they offer a lifetime warranty on this cutting cylinder. What happens if the shredder becomes overloaded? The HSM C16's "JamStop Anti-Jam" technology instantly recognizes a jam, and automatically switches into reverse mode. For user safety, the C16 features a folding element, which halts operation when touched.
The HSM C16 offers a 6.6 gallon capacity, perfect for low volume, personal shredding. The handle recess on the top of the unit makes it easier to lift the upper part of the machine to empty the waste container. To monitor how full this container is, simply look through the inspection window located at the front of the machine. Compact and convenient for any small home or personal office, the HSM C16 offers dimensions of 17.9" H x 14.4" W x 11.3" D. Extremely lightweight, the C16 weighs in at 9.92 lbs, making it easy to relocate this shredder if necessary.

HSM Securio (Models C14, C16, C18, AF100) – Home / Small Office Shredders
Failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. A Maximum of one replacement unit is authorized during the warranty period. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
