For higher volume data destruction, the HSM Securio P40 cross cut shredder may be a great choice. Documents are converted into small level 3/P-4, 3/16" x 1 1/8" particles. What's more, the Securio P40 tackles up to 37 sheets per pass, creating 517 confetti cut pieces per page destroyed. How can this professional shredder handle so much paper? The 100% solid steel cutting rollers are sturdy enough to tear your sheets to shreds with little effort. But most offices want a shredder that can destroy more than just paper. Employees often forget to remove staples or paper clips from their documents before tossing them into the shredder. While this may be too much for some shredders, the HSM Securio P40 powers through these materials. For even more flexibility, the P40 features a separate media slot for credit cards, CDs/DVDs, and floppy disks. By feeding documents and media into two different openings, paper and plastic residue are kept separated.
For those eager to test the sheet capacity limits, you may in fact find yourself stuck with a paper jam. If and when a jam is detected, JamStop technology switches the unit into reverse until the overloaded paper is forced out. A comprehensive safety system (UL Approved, CE-Certified) partnered with the folding safety element maintain a high level of user safety. When the shredder is inactive for an extended period of time, it will enter into stand-by mode. While in stand-by, EMCS works to reduce energy consumption by up to 90%. Speaking of reduced, Whisper Shred technology guarantees that this shredder emits low noise levels during operation.
A multifunctional operation button acts as the control and display unit for this shredder. Icons located around this button illuminate to denote operation status. For example, you are loading paper and suddenly, operation comes to a halt. A light appears on the display unit. Maybe it's a paper jam? Or perhaps the waste container is full? This display unit is extremely beneficial and a real time saver.

HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
