Description of the HSM Securio P44 Level 3/P-4 Cross Cut Shredder
The HSM Securio P44 shredder offers the most extensive range of shredding capabilities than any other Securio model. The specially-hardened solid steel cutting rollers produce 3/16" x 2" cross cut particles, a total of 517 pieces per page. While this shredder powers through between 43-46 sheets at once, the P44 level 3/P-4 also tackles staples, paper clips, credit cards, CDs/DVDs, and floppy disks. Load your documents into the extra wide 16" feed opening and your media (CDs/DVDs, floppy disks, and credit cards) into the separate media slot. Thanks to these independent openings, paper and plastic residue remain separated. Even through continuous loads, the HSM Securio P44 will continue to produce reliable results. As a cross cut unit, the Securio P44 should be oiled on a regular basis. Operators can choose to include the optional external oiling system. By lubricating the solid steel cutting cylinder, the shredder will remain in peak condition.
This shredder is pretty hefty, weighing in at an immense 238 lbs. While it may seem difficult to relocate, the durable cabinet is actually mounted on sturdy mobility casters for easier movement around the office. This cabinet houses a reusable shred bag and convenient pull-out frame. The bag holds a commendable 55 gallons of shredded material. Thanks to the multifunctional operation button, users will be notified when this shred bag is full or when the cabinet door is ajar. This display unit also features alerts for paper jam, button lock, and metal detection.
The shredder will switch into stand-by mode if inactive for an extended period of time. With the Energy Management Control System, power consumption is reduced by up to 90%. Speaking of reduced, noise levels are severely lowered thanks to the Whisper Shred technology and closed gear mechanism. User safety on the other hand is boosted with the comprehensive safety system (UL Approved, CE-Certified), folding safety element, and button lock.

HSM Securio (Models AF150, AF300, AF500, B22, B24, B26, B32, B34, B35, P36i, P40i, P44i) – Office / Large Office / Department Shredders
Parts and labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Strip and Cross Cut Cutting Rollers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for the life of the shredder from the date of invoice.
Level 5 and High Security Level 6 Shredders
Parts & labor to repair any failure caused by defect is limited to three (3) years from date of invoice. Cutting Rollers on all high security units that have an oiler installed are warranted to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from date of invoice. Failure to lubricate these machines properly will void the warranty. Cutting Rollers on High Security Shredders purchased without an oiler are warranted for one (1) year.
HSM Standard Warranty
HSM warrants that any new products sold will be free from defects in material and workmanship when used under specified and normal operating conditions. This warranty is void if repairs are necessitated by accidents, misuse, abuse, water damage or fire. Please read the Manufacturer’s Operating Instructions, included with the product, prior to operation, to help ensure all precautions are taken to avoid canceling the manufacturer’s warranty. Modifications, alterations and repairs must be performed by an authorized technician. Lubrication for cross-cut shredders is required every fifteen to thirty minutes of operation, to maintain top working condition and this warranty.
In all cases, the final authority in determining cutting system defects lies with the manufacturer. All cutting systems must be returned to the manufacturer.
