Description of the MBM SF2

The SF2 is MBM's top of the line wire-fed stitching system which is an extremeley efficient, cost-effective booklet making machine that's designed for high volume, industrial projects. Aside from its spectacular productivity, yielding up to 2,300 booklets per hour, the greatest advantage offered by the SF2 is found in its ultra high capacity wire spools, which provide lower operating costs than bookletmakers using pre-formed staples and allow you to produce up to 65,000 booklets without replacing a spool. This low-maintenance design allows the SF2 to automatically jog, stitch and fold virtually uninterrupted and, with the ability to interface online with a variety of collators (including the MBM FC 10), no job is too big.

In addition to its productivity, the SF2 is highly versatile and user-friendly, utilizing push-button controls with a 6 digit counter for easy operation and featuring a staple leg adjustment that allows you to alter the staple length to custom fit the size of the book being run. The moveable, magnetic stitching heads can be adjusted to stitch booklets in any position while the one-step threading ensures quick and easy set-up of any job. The SF2 uses a dual fold roller to create a crisp, consistent knife fold while the powered exit conveyor neatly stacks your finished booklets. An optional activated clinch and on-line corner/side stitch gate are also available add-ons for the SF2 bookletmaker (call for more information).

Aside from its automated all-in-one bookletmaking abilities, which include jogging, folding and stapling, the SF2 also features an optional face trimmer specifically designed to work on-line with the SF2 bookletmaker. This add-on piece of equipment will automatically trim booklets up to 100 pages, linking in directly with the bookletmaker and using its powered exit conveyor to neatly eject the stitched and trimmed finished booklets.
