Heavy duty performance can be a tricky thing to obtain, but the Cumberland 3000 Series granulators are designed to deliver top quality service with even the toughest demands. The Cumberland 3263 Central Granulator is the mid-range model in the series and features options that are identical to the largest and most powerful unit in the series. This means that the Cumberland 3263 Central Granulator can easily tackle the processing of extruder purgings, films of all kinds, post consumer products, large molded parts, thick sheeting, blow molded materials, and so much more. This is possible thanks to the variable infeed system that will use tray, pipe, or sheet feeding. The rotor features twelve knives that are supported by the dual fly wheel to eliminate or prevent inertia and keep the pace of processing. The cutting chamber is 32" x 63" and uses raised bed knives and water cooled wear plates to deliver consistent results. This is supported by the 200HP motor that enables a throughput rate of up to 10k pounds per hour (discharged via the front, rear, or per a conveyor). Keep in mind that this system prevents the melting and smearing of any polymers because of the cooling system, making it easy to maintain the machine.

Maintenance is also facilitated by the hydraulics in the hopper and cradle, the pivoting, slide out discharge chute assembly, the bearings that are taper mounted and adjustable, and the replaceable rotor knife seats. The programmable service cycle also cuts down on the time needed to maintain the Cumberland 3263 Central Granulator and the automatic lubrication system ensures that friction and wear and tear on vital parts does not occur. The unit is also customizable thanks to the different standard options readily available. These include a thirty knife rotor upgrade, a twin high shear five knife upgrade, a 150 to 400 HP motor, wear resistant package for many components, and adjustable rotor knives that can have variable settings.
