The Cumberland 44U Thermoforming Granulator is the smallest in the series and yet features the same motor size and cutting circle as the other units. This machine has a 12" x 44" throat size and uses the motor to drive the feed roll. It sits on a castered base that has a profile low enough for under the press capture, but also for positioning in front of the presses too.

The materials enter through the throat and head into the working envelope. This contains the 3-knife Twin Shear rotor and two bed knives that ensure ideal processing. The rotor knives use a high angle design and interact with the 12" cutting circle in the bed to get flawless results. The frame is bolted and doweled, giving it a mobile and yet durable construction. This allows for the oversized feed rolls to function without fail, and for the 20-50HP motor to deliver predictable results. The materials are sent through the reversible screens that feature a range of sizes, which are easy to maintain due to their positioning in the pivoting screen cradle. The processed materials then exit the Cumberland 44U Thermoforming Granulator through the 8" pneumatic discharge. The anticipated throughput for this unit is around 816 kg per hour (roughly 1800 pounds), and it is controlled via NEMA 12 controls.
