Description of the Formax 6210 Advanced 2 Folder Inserter
The 6210 Series Inserters combine advanced folding & inserting technology with user-friendly features and flexibility. Four models are available with a variety of input configurations to meet the needs of any size office or small mailroom.
The FD 6210 Advanced 2 consists of two sheet feeders and one insert/BRE feeder. This fast speed inserter is capable of processing 2000 to 2200 pieces per month and has a monthly cycle of 15000 pieces of paper. The Advanced 2 is a user-friendly machine as it is equipped with 7" full-color touchscreen control panel with a graphical interface for easy use and the AutoSetTM for one-touch setup of new jobs by automatically measuring paper lengths, envelope sizes and fold lengths.
Each feeder can hold up to 325 sheets and the two feeders and the business reply envelopes feeder allows users to feed more documents for folding and inserting enhancing the productivity of the company. The feeders can be linked and that means when the first feeder is empty, the device switches to the other feeder. The Advance 2 has a clamshell design that allows easy access to the paper path and correctly reads OMR, 1D and 2D barcodes printed at any side on a document. The device is eco-friendly as it puts the Advance 2 on standby if inactive for an hour.

What is the estimated lifespan (in years) of this machine?
I can't give an exact number because there are a lot of variables that go into that. Your monthly volume and the number of sheets stuffed into an envelope on average are main drivers. Also some people repair these things until they fall to pieces, while other people buy new ones as soon as there is a drop in the reliability. Internally though as the equipment enters the 750k-1M cycle range we start talking to customers about replacement.
